What to expect

Day 1 Delhi - Rishikesh (230 km - 5h 30 mins)

  1. Lakshman Jhula Bridge

    40 min

On Arrival in Rishikesh, check in a 5 star hotel and freshen up. After that we star the half day city tour of Rishikesh starting with Lakshman Jhula. It is a suspension bridge across the river Ganges, located 5 kilometres (3 mi) north-east of the city of Rishikesh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The bridge connects the two villages of Tapovan in Tehri Garhwal district, on the west bank of the river, to Jonk in Pauri Garhwal district, on the east bank. Lakshman Jhula is a pedestrian bridge that is also used by motorbikes. The bridge is currently closed. Despite its location on the outskirts of the city, it is one of the iconic landmarks of Rishikesh. A larger bridge 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) downstream from Lakshman Jhula is Ram Jhula.

  2. Triveni Ghat

    1 hour

Triveni Ghat is a ghat situated in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. It is the biggest and most famous ghat in Rishikesh at the banks of Ganges. Triveni Ghat remains overcrowded with devotee to take ritual baths to get cleansed from their sins. It is believed that the ghat was visited by Lord Krishna when he got hurt by the arrow of Jara – a hunter. Being the most venerated ghat in Rishikesh, Triveni Ghat is even used by devotees to perform the last rites and rituals of their loved ones. The ghat is famed for the Ganga aarti performed to the chants of Vedic hymns. The sight of oil leaves, filled with diya and petals, which are released by devotees, floating on the pristine Ganga and the traditional aarti is a sight to behold. On the bank of Triveni Ghat, one can visit the Gita Mandir and Lakshminarayan Temple. Dawn boat ride along the Ganges is a must on a short tour to Triveni Ghat.

  3. Ram Jhula

    30 min

Ram Jhula is an iron suspension bridge across the river Ganges, located 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north-east from the town Rishikesh in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The bridge connects the Sivananda Nagar area of Muni Ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district to Swargashram in Pauri Garhwal district crossing the river from west to east. Built in the year 1986, the bridge is one of the iconic landmarks of Rishikesh.
There are many Hindu ashrams and religious centers established at both sides of the Ganges.[1] It is also a connecting bridge between Sivananda Ashram located in Muni Ki Reti to Gita Bhawan, Parmarth Niketan and other temples located in Swargashram. Though similar in design, this bridge is bigger than Lakshman Jhula which is 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) upwards the river stream.[2] This bridge is constructed with the span of 750 feet (230 m).

  4. Parmarth Niketan Ashram

    30 min

Parmarth Niketan is situated in the lap of the lush Himalayas, along the banks of the Ganges. The ashram was founded in 1942 by Pujya Swami Shukdevanandji Maharaj.

  5. Bharat Mandir

    30 min

Bharat Mandir is situated in the heart of the city. Shri Bharat Mandir is the most ancient and the most famous temple.

Day 2 Rishikesh

  1. Vashishta Gufa

    1 hour Admission ticket included

After a lavish breakfast in the hotel we proceed to the tour of Vashishta Gufa. It is an ancient cave where great Sage Vashistha meditated. As per Hindu mythology, Saga Vashistha was a manas of Lord Brahma and one of the seven great sages.
